Milton Keynes Zumbathon for Willen Hospice

Home  /  Uncategorized  /  Milton Keynes Zumbathon for Willen Hospice

On Sunday 18th September, whilst the majority of Milton Keynes was still in bed, the Optima team was up with the larks helping to prepare for the Zumbathon in Middleton Hall. Fundraisers and Zumba fanatics from across Milton Keynes came together to dancercise their way through two hours of Zumba in a bid to raise money for Willen Hospice.

The atmosphere was fantastic (especially for a Sunday morning!) and it was great to see so many people coming together for a good cause.

The Optima team went along to show their support, providing water and encouragement to the brilliant ladies and gents who took part. We want to take this opportunity to say a huge well done to all who participated in the event. Tracey Jago, Events Fundraiser at Willen Hospice, had this to say:

“Our final number of participants was at 126 and we raised just short of £1500, which was great, and hopefully next year we can make this event bigger and better!”

About Willen Hospice

Willen Hospice is a registered charity in Milton Keynes whose vision is to be a lasting and thriving provider of free care to all people affected by life limiting illness in the community. In order to continue offering care to its residents, the hospice needs to raise around £7 every minute from the local community. As a local Milton Keynes company, we are delighted to volunteer where we can to ensure the hospice can continue to offer great care to those who need it.
